Of course you will! I hear this all the time.
I specialize in weight loss because it’s something I’m passionate about. You see, when I was growing up, I was overweight. I battled it for 15 years. I have now conquered it! I could have given up, but I didn’t. It taught me a lot about life along the way too.
One of the best lessons i received was understanding that no matter what the goal and how long its going to take to get there, it starts with a single step and the time will pass anyway, might as well put it to good use.
“Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.” ~Earl Nightingale
When I sit down with a new client, we assess where they are right now, their baseline. This includes fitness level, body fat percentage, weight, etc. I compare it to looking at a map, you want to ultimately arrive in New York, you need to know where you are currently to develop a plan to get there. Whether you’re in Kansas or California, it doesn’t matter, you have to drive east.
Regardless if you have 30, 50, or 100 lbs to lose, it all starts with a single step or day. Take it one day at a time and try to get better everyday. You screw up, have a bad day, who cares, get back on the horse and keep moving forward!
Nothing in life worth having is easy, you are going to have to work for it. But, I promise it will all be worth it 🙂
