Jamie is a lifesaver for anyone who desires to progress in their fitness journey but is in need of some extra guidance. Our Process

  • Talk with Your Trainer
    At Plunkett Fitness, you will complete a fitness assessment and share your personal goals with your trainer before you ever touch a barbell. During this assessment, we will do a body fat test and discuss your health and exercise history. We want to figure out your fitness and nutrition habits before we get down to business. Each assessment takes about an hour, and after the assessment, we will create a custom workout and nutrition plan that is created specifically for you.
  • Your First Workout
    With us, your workout will start with self-myofascial release and a dynamic warm-up. We will then focus on strength training tailored to your needs and goals. With each visit, we will work on proper technique and form, as well as progression. We want you to grow constantly, so we will add either reps or additional weight to your strength training exercises with every visit.
  • Tailored Workouts
    Your workout likely won’t be the same as the other clients in the gym. That’s because your body isn’t going to be the same as our other clients, and you need a workout that will work for YOU. With personalized workouts, you are more likely to get the results that you are looking for faster. Learn more about this below.

Personalized Workouts

Plunkett Fitness takes pride in being able to personalize workouts around injuries or pain that you may feel. Since every person has different goals, we can also cater workouts to gaining strength or adding muscle, burning fat, or a combination of these. Each personal training session with us will get you one step closer to your end goal.

Our trainers want to make sure you achieve maximum results, so we create a workout plan that is tailored to help you meet your goals. The personal trainers at Plunkett Fitness have both experience and certifications to back-up their knowledge of fitness and nutrition, and they are here to help motivate you to work hard for the results you want to see.

Working out with Plunkett Fitness is about more than just burning calories. At the end of the day, we don’t want our clients to be tired and sore from a hard day in the gym that didn’t meet their needs. Our goal is to help you feel and look better, while also gaining strength and a higher resting metabolism — all while teaching you techniques that you can use for the rest of your life.

We focus on teaching proper form for all exercises to prevent injuries both now and in the future. Our Overland Park personal training sessions are tailored for you, which means that one of our six trainers will be available when you want to work out. We know just how busy you are, and we are willing to work around all schedules.
